Sri Lanka Police started holding interviews to recruit 1000 Tamil youth, with the objective of deploying them in the Tamil speaking areas.
Accordingly, interviews for applicants from Jaffna were held yesterday at Jaffna Central College.
The interviews for the applicants from Vavuniya are being held today at the Vavuniya Gamini Maha Vidyalaya.
Police sources said that 424 applicants will be interviewed in Vavuniya today.
